A walk organized to celebrate Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary, with street plays, poetry, and a lecture by Prof. Sanjay Tambat.

On the eve of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a Democracy Walk was organized from the FTII Main Gate to the Dr. Ambedkar Museum, Symbiosis Bhavan, SB Road, on 14th April 2024. About 200 students from FTII, ILS Law College, Gokhale Institute, COEP, Fergusson College, Symbiosis, and MMCC participated in the walk, which featured street plays, posters, and poetry that illustrated Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal contributions to social justice and equality.

The walk culminated in a lecture by Prof. Sanjay Tambat, Head of the Department of Journalism at Savitribai Phule Pune University, who shed light on Ambedkar's vision for an egalitarian society and his profound impact on the Indian Constitution. This event aimed to educate the youth on Ambedkar’s legacy and inspire them to uphold the values of democracy, equality, and justice.
